During the EU's flagship annual event for industry, “European Industry Days 2021”, the “EU Transition Pathway” was presented. It is roadmap towards, a “sustainable and digital, innovative tourism ecosystem" as it was described in exact words. The creation of this roadmap was the result of a negotiation between all stakeholders in the field, which began many months earlier. The roadmap calls on the tourism community to implement measures in 27 sectors.
